On our second day in Spain, we woke up in Salamanca with the gin still rattling around, in order to visit one of the more impressive churches I've ever seen. By the time we were on the way again the temperature in the middle of the Iberian Peninsula had peaked around 37C/100F, perfect for the beach. By the time we reached the beach, it was a foggy 20C/68F, though fluctuated upwards a bit. There may even have been a short immersion into the sea.
