After Rocklands and Tulbagh, we drove a long loop back to Cape Town by staying inland and dropping to the southern coast for a night at De Hoop National Park.
It was a lot of driving for a single night, and we'd considered not making the jaunt (about 2-3 hours both ways)-- but it was well worth it. De Hoop is an otherworldly treasure with a unique climate, and unique flora, and total relaxation.
