Friday
LOCATION: Yogyakarta to Magelang, Indo
APPEARING: Steffi | Andy
If there's one food associated with Yogyakarta it's gudeg, a jackfruit-based dish that is rich and complex. To it goes some meat, often braised, tofu/seitan, and various other dishes. The plan was to fill up on gudeg, gather our wits, and then rent motorbikes for the ride to Borobudor temple about 2 hours away.

Andy was kind enough to accompany us to the temple, and show us the back way through small villages, over a shady bridge (where, or course, we spent time tempting fate by eating popsicles), and to an old artist's colony turned guesthouse (where we didn't stay) up in the mountains near the Pogo river.
