The day of frozen hell. After 14 hrs on the train back from Lapland, we arrived in a frigid Helsinki at roughly 6am. Exhausted.
Being Helsinki, and a Sunday, nothing would be open until late into the morning, approaching noon. So it was off to Suomenlinna, a series of islands recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site for its old fortress structures. I'm sure it was incredible, but I was too busy being cold.
