Day 2 of Paul and my short trip to the Czech Republic. After the bizarre and wonderful and perfect night in Plzen, we took off for the tourist wilds of Prague. It's a lovely city, for sure. All the old architecture-- but the most heavily tourist laden, tourist catered to, tourist city I have every visited in my life. With a few tips from the inside, we did manage to break free a bit. And we had a great meal in a place where they nearly refused to seat us given our lack of localness, and where the meal was literally 1/5th the price of the schlock they shovel at the joints whose menus are in English. So what if we had to point and pray when it came to ordering. Many, many thanks to the unknown Czech couple who waved us over to join them at their table.
