Last year we just caught the tail end of "the parade." This year, we took a break from our BBQ in the park to track down the heavy bass beats, and then follow the brightly colored, rump-shaking bodies. The Caribbean parade is more or less the Brooklyn version of Carnival-- but always over the labor day weekend, rather than in the heart of winter (when it would be too cold to wear so little and march, nay, shake, down the street for hours and into the night).
